SVR teak train grows!

Post by MikeTrice »

The SVR's Gresley LNER Kitchen Composite 7960 made its first run as a fully operational Kitchen Restaurant Car in a special evening charter on 9th May 2015. Hopefully someone can follow this news by uploading some images of this superb restoration.

We heard about this on Saturday, when we were on the train at Pickering with 3669. What a remarkable coincidence that our friends at the SVR launched their latest Gresley on the same day as The LNERCA. 7960 is a magnificent vehicle and I'd like to congratulate the coach fund on it's completion.

I too would love to see some photos.

Sawdust.

They have published a supplement to their newsletter covering both the NYMR and SVR coaches.
