A4s in the West of Scotland

Post by bookfeller »

Can anyone tell me how frequently A4s ran out of Glasgow Central, and on what duties?

Thanks

Doesn't sound very likely to me. Queen Street or Buchanan Street yes, but not Central.

Not in normal service from Glasgow Central. The odd one came in during weekend diversions from Buchanan Street or as the result of a derailment there. Glasgow Queen Street and Buchanan Street were their usual haunts especially famous on the 3 hour Aberdeen expresses from the latter station.
