We don't have a completion date as their are too many dependencies one of which is getting the accommodation bogies from under Gresley BTK 3669 to allow full bogie overhaul of 1623s.
Completion of bogie overhaul from 3669 is held up awaiting C&W crane being re-commissioned.
1623 requires gangways refitting, steam heat radiators fitting, toilets completing and a few fiddly internal details finishing off.
Still a lot of work to do!
Some extra donations would help in some areas :D

Indeed yes. During the May/early June coach week, whilst showing folk round I'd quote some of the costs of the "fixtures & fittings". Which surprised many. For instance the seven replacement "toughened glass" sliding windows in the compartment doors cost £900 as they are engraved 3rd, have a pair of holes for the little brass handle used to slide the windows up/down. In that way several put a few coins in our donation tins. After all as Tesco are apt to put it......"Every little helps!"
