D of C 60010 numberplate & parts to go on sale

Post by owd sweedy »

Start saving your pennies gentlemen, 60010 number plate, BR chime whistle, double chimney and other removed parts are to be auctioned off in july. A decision was made not to return the BR era parts to Canada as planned, but in this instance to go against museum policy and sell them off in the UK.

4489 and tender actually arrived in CN's Montreal yard this evening (three weeks since it docked!), where it will await a southbound CP freight to bring it to Exporail at Delson. Will keep you posted.
Cheers,
Owd Sweedy.
